This Privacy Policy explains how Deskyn AI ("we", "us", "our", or "DeskynAI") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you or your customers use the DeskynAI service ("Service"), accessible at deskynai.in and via WhatsApp integrations we operate on behalf of our business clients.
This policy is designed to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules.
1. Who this policy applies to
- Clients: businesses that subscribe to DeskynAI to operate an AI receptionist.
- End Customers: individuals who interact with a client's business via the AI receptionist we operate (typically through WhatsApp).
- Website Visitors: anyone who visits deskynai.in.
2. Information we collect
From Clients (subscribers):
- Business name, contact person name, email address, phone number, business type, city
- Login credentials (encrypted)
- Payment information (processed by Razorpay; we do not store card details)
- Business configuration (services offered, prices, hours, staff, calendar links)
- Usage data (conversations handled, bookings created, feature usage)
From End Customers (people messaging our clients):
- WhatsApp phone number
- Message content sent to the AI receptionist
- Appointment details (name, service, date, time, preferences)
- Interaction timestamps and metadata
From Website Visitors:
- Information submitted through contact forms (name, email, phone, business type, message)
- Standard web analytics (pages visited, browser type, approximate location derived from IP)
- Cookies as described in Section 8
3. Why we collect this information
- To provide the Service: allow the AI to understand messages, look up business information, book appointments, send confirmations
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To communicate with Clients about their account, billing, service issues, and product updates
- To improve the Service, train and evaluate model performance, debug issues
- To comply with legal obligations
- To respond to inquiries from website visitors
4. How we share information
We do NOT sell personal data. We share information only with:
- Service providers we depend on to run DeskynAI:
- Meta / WhatsApp Business API (for message delivery)
- Google (Calendar sync, Google Sheets for lead notification, Google Cloud infrastructure)
- Razorpay (payment processing)
- Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure)
- Our AI model providers (for message understanding and response generation)
Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies and only to the extent needed to provide their part of the Service.
- Our Clients: conversations and bookings created by End Customers are visible to the Client that operates that receptionist. This is fundamental to the Service.
- Legal authorities: where required by law, court order, or valid legal process.
- In case of business transfer: if DeskynAI is acquired or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Data storage and location
Data is stored on infrastructure operated by Supabase and Google Cloud, currently hosted in the Asia South (Mumbai) region. Where data is processed by third parties in other jurisdictions (e.g. Meta/WhatsApp servers), such transfers occur under those providers' terms.
6. Data retention
- Client account data: retained while the account is active and for up to 12 months after termination, then deleted or anonymised.
- End Customer conversations: retained for 24 months to enable service continuity and audit, then deleted or anonymised.
- Payment records: retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax and financial regulations.
- Website leads: retained for up to 24 months if not converted; deleted on request.
7. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Withdraw consent to processing
- Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India

End Customers may also exercise rights via the Client whose business they interacted with. We will assist Clients in fulfilling such requests.
8. Cookies and tracking
The DeskynAI website uses cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential site functionality (login sessions)
- Analytics (understanding how visitors use the site)
You can disable cookies via your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encryption at rest for databases
- Access controls and authentication
- Regular software updates and security patching
No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
10. Children
DeskynAI is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to Clients by email and by updating the Effective Date above. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance.
12. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder, the name and contact details of the Grievance Officer are:
